Yup. Can't be bothered waiting for the UK release of Day Watch though so I'm hunting for a download with English subs right now. :P

It's sort of like how the saxons got the vikings off them.

Danegeld.

You earn points for doing things they think are cool and the more you have the less they bother you.

Eventually they demand money and it turns into blackmail.

But that's O.K cos it's just a couple of idiots thinking they're cool and important.

WTF?? You've paid them money so they can decide whether you're cool or not?? Otherwise they blackmail you? Are you insane?

Or have I just red that wrong (please say yes)

No the money wanting is the blackmail in a very basic form.

Anyway it means that In the scheme of things at the school I'm better off.

I can make schoolboy propoganda work my way.

There's a strict hierachy in the school that's completely unjust.

Pffft

Nothing I can do about it.

In the scheme of things I'm a well conected nerd.

On a gayness scale of 1-10 I'm a 7, to them.

It's completely stupid.

The rewards of paying the danegeld are good though.

Still I am well conected.

I can topple the top but not easilly.

I just need to find something really discusting about the guys at the top.

HOORAY! I got paid at last. What a relief.

I just bought a big bottle of diet lemonade 'cos Col ran out of his usual supply. He has at least one pint a day of orange-juice-and-lemonade.

He just ordered a new pair of glasses, and about time too.

Just returned home with a 19" TV/Monitor which I've now plugged in. Finally upgradded from my dinky 15" monitor! :D

I also bought Tetris DS and got playing that, when my Mum saw what I was playing she asked me for a go and is now refusing to give me it back. :(

Got a new vacuum cleaner, exactly like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000ANI16C/202-0356944-4933465

I was absolutely fed up with the 20-year-old piece of junk we had. It sucked, and not in a good way.
