I know that things involving Hitler and/or the Holocaust are a sensitive topic for most Germans/Austrians, so forgive me for bringing it up, but I just have a question that I need answered. Was Hitler the only person to ever hold the title of "Fuhrer"? The Wikipedia article on "fuhrer" didn't really clear things up too well for me.

I'm not German but i can tell you that führer means leader. And I think Hitler was the only one who used the term since he had to change a law to grant himself the title.

How comes the UN never forced democratic elections on the US after the Florida desaster?

Because the UN has no power. Hence why countries constantly back out of treaties, refuse to pay their fines, and get away with it - or why UN troops sit back and allow civilians to be massacred by local militias.
