This spring I went to Spain with my college Spanish department and on Good Friday my friends Moe, Christina, and Bridget, and I stopped at Moore's Irish Pub in Madrid and met a bunch of really cool Irish people who said that they were there because it's illegal to drink on Good Friday in Ireland. I didn't catch all of their names but i remember one was named Jimmy and another was named Ross. They were some very hospitable people.

To the point. I was wondering if any of them were on the rathergood forums so if you remember being there that night please leave a post here. If you weren't there but want to here stories about that night, send me a pm and if i get 9 or more i'll post them on a new thread.

True, but hey, you never know. Anyone in the world with internet access (assuming it's not controlled by a communist government that blocks sites from the free world) can view this page so any one of those Irishmen or the people who were on the trip with me might wind up reading this. Or they might not.   8) :?:

One can always hope i suppose, nothing wrong with that. And hey! Stranger things have happened on this very forum! Sugarman (one of the 1st very active users) turned out to be my brother's best friend's brother... erhm.. hang on... yeah... i got it right!

Anyway.. good luck! Though there aren't many Irishmen on the forum... Only ones i remember (not by name.. only by post) were one or two getting overexcited when 7SoL announced a gig in Dublin castle... in London. Though also quite a long shot... Have you tried searching networks on facebook?

I wonder what happened to sugarman?
He was really nice.
Did he get to be a history teacher as he planned?
I wonder about some of the other old members... what about Captain Cowhouse? I think he is at uni now, but I miss his posts about his weird hair!

I think Sugarman is still studying to become a history teacher. I'll see my brother tomorrow so i'll check (with any luck sugarman's sis will be there too).

As for cowhouse.. haven't seen him on the forum for a while. I do catch a glimps of him on facebook every now and then.

Also.. i just noticed Tim is back! (yes! i remember you!)

(sorry about hijacking your thread spyglass)

I think it may be in part due to all the Catholics is Ireland... But then again, there are a shitload of Catholics in Spain too porque todos los espermas son sagrados. Or it could be that the government found out about the stereotype of an Irish 7 course meal being a potato and a six pack and wanted to remedy that for at least 1 day a year.

~If you are Catholic, Irish, and/or Spanish and were offended by this post, I apologize. Also if you prefer Monty Python in English and were offended by the Python reference I wrote in Spanish, I apologize.

It is strange the coinkedinks on this forum. Autumn went to infant school with one of the girls in China with me.
