So am I correct in saying that Manchester seems to be the most popular option?
LET'S DO THIS.

I think Manchester's pretty much sorted. Just one thing...if you catch me drinking anything stronger than Strongbow you have my permission to hit me, seriously :!:

Let's get organising. 8)

OK. Dates? Times? Places to sleep? Are we going to use the book of face to organise this?

OK, I was thinking of the weekend around 30th June into July. Emu, could you put people up then as you mentioned? I stayed in Manchester Britannia overnight before which is a 'budget' hotel otherwise.

Anyway, I'm open to other ideas now we've got the location sorted and use whatever means we have to co-ordinate.

:( I'm going to be in Thailand from the beginning/middle of June until late September. So something before that would be perfect...

Places to sleep - I have two rather uncomfortable sofas/a living room floor but it's all very studenty and in Preston. Would also have to consult my housemates..

I won't be in the north west for the school easter hols or from june until september... so pre easter would be good? :)

I must admit I wanted it to coincide with an old schoolfriend coming up for the Stone Roses gigs. As I say, there are places people can crash for a reasonable price in the middle of the Manc if you Google hard enough. I think it’s going to have to be between late April and mid May... if it's going to happen.

You all forgot meeting Eleni!!!

I've had a fair few people stay at my flat and go shopping at my local Asda. I remember Kris being very interested in some brussel sprouts...

I also met Goat, obvs.

Doubt me getting to a meet this year is going to be viable. I am paying off debts and have no spare monies.

Hellooo lovely!! Yes, all is very well and rather nice... I own a house! Me and Leni live with my boyfriend now, have done since July. I turned 29 last week, terrifying! I was 22 when this forum started.... Eleni turns 6 in just under 2 weeks!!

Spending this year with no money so I can be debt free by 30 and get a bigger house. (My bloke wants babies-eek!)

How is everything with you???

I have returned from epic walkies!

I say pick a date that's in at least two months time (probably make it a saturday; I think most of us have work, if not at least University commitments to deal with, and many have to travel to get there in the first place), pick a decent pub that does food at lunch time, and the rest can evolve from there.

If you want to go with Manchester, which is probably a sound idea, someone more local will want to sort it out. If people want London, I'll sort it out :)

If that means me, this is doomed! I have the organisational skills of a cabbage. :P

I would love to go, family commitments willing. Manchester is a long way but I suppose it is do-able at a push and worth it to meet you lot after all these years.

Shame it can't be nearer to LL, it would be smashing to meet her and little LL and I'm sorry she can't make it.

Hope to see you Susie.

I know the city centre fairly well and could do another reccy up there. However, I’ll mainly check out the pubs on the net.
