well i have just com back from having a huge argument with my freind about communism
id like to know other peoples views on communism and i will attatch a poll so i can see overall statistics as well as hearing your individual opinions
it would be nice to see what your political opinions are so i can back up my argument some time

Agreed. People are greedy; laws and social structure can't change that. Good in theory, bad in practice.

It's impossible to structure since the majority will always need some form of leader to help organise everything. That's why it's good in theory but impossible in practise.

Communism is horrible.

Imagine there is a man, who doesnt work, he just eats and sleeps. No work at all, stays home all day, right? He should NOT have an equal life as someone with an i.q. of 180 and works his ass off. Also, it could go too out of hand VERY easily, and people could be killed because they werent normal, and had mental dissablities. Communism is an ideal world, if everyone works equal amounts, has the same ambitions, same I.Q, same fitness (physically, also) the same ideas, and ways. There is definetly going to be a major backlash from the people who simply dont want the same dreams as someone else. Also, the tragedy in the 1940 is a small example of what could happen. Jewish people were killed because they didnt share the same beliefs as "everyone else," people were killed becasue they look different, sound different, smell different (how does that make you feel now glassonion?) if someone couldnt smell then BAM! Deaf person BAM! Blind person BAM! In the end, its a lose lose situation because either:
a)people would sit around all day with no work and have the same house as everyone else
b)people would backlash and then everyone would die
c)life becomes bland and no one can show off there different things, because everyone had the same

Also, in communism there is a distinct lack of freedom. Think about it, communsim theoritcally is a perfect world but it would never work out for the reasons I listed above. I hope I have changed some of your minds.

But if everyone was equal then they would all do an equal amount of work and have the same sense, same pysical and mental state, etc etc. But that is impossible which is why I say it's nice in theory but in reality it's impossible, no 2 people are equal.

But yeah, Life would be pretty dull if everyone was the same and equal anyway.

Organization is different from dictatorship...

We're reading a book in English class where a society or sort of like a communist society. Everyone is assigned a job and they do it without question. They are strict rules regarding conduct and behavior; if you break them you die. The government provides you everything you need: food, shelter, heck, they even choose your spouse and mail you kids!

It's a perfect world. No pain and no wars. But I would rather have a little pain than lose my freedom.

Wow! Yeah, it is a good book. I'm the only one in my class who "got" it and enjoyed it though. Everyone else thought it was a stupid story about an old man touching little boys.
