I am The Mighty Mzungu. I am the merciless enforcer of this forum. FEAR MY LIMITLESS POWER!

Here are my commandments to remember when posting on this forum:

1: DO NOT FLAME. DO NOT TROLL. DO NOT INSULT PEOPLE. BE NICE.

2: Please pay attention to your spelling and grammar. The Mighty Mzungu is INFURIATED AND ENRAGED by kiddy l33t sp34k, by abuses of the grammar of the glorious English language, by text speak, and by all other juvenile and childish abominations. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SPELLING!

3: Do not start a new topic unless you have something interesting to say. I repeat - DO NOT START NEW TOPICS UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING INTERESTING TO SAY.

4: Do not reply to a post unless you have something interesting to say. Before you post, stop and ask yourself... "Is this post contributing to the discussion? Is it interesting and / or informative? Have I remembered to spell the words correctly?" If the answer to any of the questions is no, then DO NOT POST IT.

5: FEAR THE MIGHTY MZUNGU!

The Mighty Mzungu will crush all those who disobey his commands.

Totally agree! The glorious English language is not my own langage but this kind off stuff sends shivers down my spine. And sometimes i don't even understand what it means, and i'm pretty sure that's got nothing to do with my blondeness.

The Mighty Mzungu wrote:

Okay, but anybody can make a mistake, specially those who aren't from the UK or USA

Been thinking about this...but just didn't have the guts to bother you guys with it..... since you've given us some much allready. But i think we need a chatpage. I admit it, i'm addicted, but i feels so good to be able to talk to sane people for a change.

And as long as you're here, could someone delete or lock the "this is gay" thread? People just can't seem to let it go.

Dear Mr. Mzungu,

Regarding your request for proper spelling and grammar, will there be some kind of special dispensation for those speakers of the American dialect who have been taught from a tender age that words such as "favourite" and "colour" should be spelled without the silent 'u'? Additionally, I would also like to express my concerns with -re/-er words, such as "centre" and "center" and the like. Similarly, I would like to bring your attention to "grey" vs. "gray".

I bring these to your attention so as to avoid your mighty wrath. With this, I remain your humble servant.

With Kindest Regards,

cajunrefugee

I don't think that rule was meant to be the strickest and no spelling or gramatical mistakes whatsoever. More like just try to make the posts readable and don't just type as if this place is a chat room.

EDIT: Also how about a rule to stop double+ posting? I always find it anoying when you see 2 or more posts by one person in a row and have saw it around the forum quite afew times.

The MIGHTY MZUNGU will not ravage those who speak with many tongues
from foreign lands. Those from the United States of America and other
nations over the ocean are welcome to speak their tongue as they will. But
MZUNGU is ENRAGED by such corruptions as "lolomgrolfmayo!11111one" or "your all gay" and he will CRUSH them.

The MIGHTY MZUNGU welcomes all who obey him and bids them partake of his beefs.

MZUNGU has spoken.

thanks for locking that this is gay thing. It kept popping up on top of the page, people with those kind of opinions don't deserve that.
In retrospect it might have been his intention to post something shitty just to keep us bussy with it. And I was the first to fall for it....

Excellent Mighty Mzungu — more power to your mzungu... good rules. Oh yeah and tell them to stop using their mobiles on trains. Telling the carriage a blow by blow account of how "I was well p***ed last night and me mum an' dad had to drive 50 miles to come an' get me cause i was well p***ed last night..." isn't funny and isn't clever.

Wow. I've never seen 200 years of my country's linguistics minimized as "colonial" before. This is kind of disturbing.

Oh well, good thing we won the Revolution. Otherwise, we wouldn't own everything.

ootch - the CajunRefugee caught a lovely one with the Colonial bit! No offense, Mighty Mzungu, but it did in fact make me snicker, seeing as how I'm half Texan and half Irish.

I have a question. Are we all allowed to speak in the third person or is it just The Mighty Mzungu?

My brain automatically ignores it. Too much association with n00b talk, like "OMGWTFBBQLOLZ!!!!1!!!!one!2!!!shift" and so on.

Thats odd, considering the entire subject of this topic is written in caps, or do you not know which topic you are in?

Yeah, but the content of posts revealed that this topic is about the rules of posting. Or people expressing their love for rules. Either or.

Mzungo! I think you should add the rule that people shouldnt start new threads with things they could say in lready excisting threads. Like in this part of the forum there is already one"What is your fav 7SoL song" and also some "Do you like this song"-threads.
Anyway, my idea for a rule is that no one should start a new thread if they could write what they wanted to say in an alerady existing thread.
