The Metaphysics of Playing Cards (answer - conclusion)
And so, it appears that we may be entering a period of understanding
where physics, cosmology and philosophy converge into the realisation
that the whole wonderful, vast, unimaginable structure of creation may
be based on nothing more than random non-existent pseudo-objects. Where
is the room for a system of ethics in such a cosmos? If we are here, not
by design, but as a random consequence of mathematical theory, then how
do we provide a structure for our spiritual lives? It is here that the
real meaning of the joker in the pack comes to the fore. It represents,
as you say, the invention of God, but more than that it repreresents the
greatest joke of them all- that no matter how long and hard we search
there will never be an underlying purpose or meaning to our lives, as
there is no underlying purpose or meaning to the existence of the cosmos
as a whole, of which we are but one miniscule part.
Can we abandon our quest for enlightenmnet and despair at this revelation?
It would be easy to do so, but we must see this as an opportunity for
a flowering of our spiritual minds and a throwing-off of conceptual boundaries
imposed by the Judaeo-Christian ethics on which our society is based.
In a world where there is no meaning, the only meaning can be the glory
of the the great cycle itself. When there is no prime mover, then the
value is in the universe itself and not its cause. The cards tell us that
far from searching for the Will of God, and a principle to follow, that
we ourselves are god, that as a part of this wonderous creation in which
we find oursleves there is no greater force than that creation itself.
We must glory in the harmony of the universe, and attempt to see our lives
as a part of this billion-year epic, rather than as the pitifully short
snapshot for which we are conscious. We must clear our minds of the mundanities
of every-day existence, the inconsequential mundana that cloud our perception,
and bask in the light of the knowledge of our part in this greatest and
most wonderful of plays.
I intend to spread the light of my insights to the world, and reform
the 20th century's quantum mechanics into a new and all encompassing unified
Quantum Shamanics, allowing all people to realise their part in this enormous
drama and spreading peace and wisdom throughout the peoples of the world,
so that whereas the twentieth century will inevitably be seen by future
generations as a time of unimaginable terror and violence, the twenty-first
may be seen as the time of the dawning of peace, and a new era in the
history of mankind.
I hope that this clarifies your perception of the nature of playing cards
and their relation to our existence.
Regards
The Guru
